Hazardous waste or in Malaysia it’s called Scheduled Wastes are very toxic and dangerous. Improper management and handling of such waste will lead to series pollution of the environment and the ecosystem as well as immediate or long-term impact to human safety and health.
According to the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Waste) Regulations, 2005 “Every waste generator shall ensure that all his employees involved in the identification, handling, labelling, transportation, storage, and spillage or discharge response for scheduled wastes attend training programmes as 98% of Industrial Premises in Malaysia Generated Scheduled Waste Every Day.

MALEK ALANG
HRDF Certified Trainer,
Safety & Health Consultant
Malek Alang has more than 28 years of Health, Safety & Environment work experience in diversified industries including large manufacturing plants, construction projects (civil, mechanical & electrical), gold mining, oil & gas petrochemical, trans- portation/ logistics, banking/ office environment, etc. He is a DOSH Registered SHO since year 2000 till now and holds the HSE Manager’s position for 16 years mostly in MNCs.
He is also a local DOSH Registered Scaffolder, Level 1 and holds an International Scaffolding Supervisor & Inspector competencies from Simian UK. He obtained certificate as HRDF Certified Trainer since April 2017 (Reg. No. 4930) and became aDOSH Certified Trainer for Safety & Health Officer (SHO) Competency program.
He has been the HSE Manager with System Protection & Maintenance S/B, Punj Lloyd Ltd., STX Heavy Industries Ltd., Meiden-Meidensha Malaysia S/B, Selinsing Gold Mine (Monument Mining Ltd.), Lafarge Malayan Cement, Citibank Malaysia Berhad and SAAG Consolidated. He was a Safety & Health Officer with Goodyear Malaysia Berhad and Assistant Chief of Fireman in Perwaja Steel & Kemaman Supply Base. He had involve with the following Mega project include Klang Valley KVMRT SBK, Petronas Gas Plant Project in Garraf Oil Field, Iraq & Pengerang RAPID project in Johor.
