[01] INTRODUCTION

eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) is the open international standard for digital business reporting to improve financial reporting in terms of relevance, consistency, timeliness, and accuracy. Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) is introducing a digital submission platform known as the Malaysian Business Reporting System (MBRS) based on the XBRL format. This submission platform allows for the annual submission of Financial Statements and Reports (FS); Annual Return (AR); and Exemption Application (EA) which are related to the FS and AR application.
The initial MBRS implementation complexity, issues and challenges have to be addressed as errors need to be rectified during the validation process before uploading the file for MBRS filing. Therefore, the preparer of financial statements for MBRS submission need to be equipped with sound technical knowledge, adequate exposure and practical experience in Companies Act, the applicable accounting standards and financial reporting in Malaysia.
In this webinar, the participants will acquire hands-on practical knowledge to enter the financial statements components into the various MBRS templates of companies using MPERS to meet the MBRS reporting requirements.
